IBVM Mission StatementIBVM Sisters Wheaton

Our Sisters, friends, Associates and Volunteers make up our IBVM family!

Our foundress, Mary Ward, was born into a world not unlike ours in difficulties. She was contemporary in her foresight as a champion for women’s roles in spreading God’s compassion.  We hope this film gives you more understanding of our IBVM Sisters and the vitality of our impact today.

You Can Make a Difference!

Donate online. Please select the Donate button above to get to our main donation page.

  • Donate - The IBVM Office of Development accepts donations toward all ministries and general operating funds of the IBVM. Gifts of cash, stock and Matching Gifts are appreciated by us.
  • Order Christmas Cards (New!) - Order our new Christmas cards! These were originally designed as our 2014 Christmas Gift of Prayer card. We received such a positive response from our donors, and requests to make them available to order, we decided to make it so!
  • Volunteer - We need Volunteers to help with our Gala event and in our ministry offices from time to time.  Please let us know how you can help. Contact us today: or call 630-682-9097.
  • iGive - We've joined with iGive to help increase our donations.  It's very simple - become an iGive member, add Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary Office of Development as your cause, and start shopping! There are no costs, obligations or hidden fees to you.  Shop via the iGive links at any of the 1,000+ stores in the iGive network, and a portion of your purchases will be donated to us.
  • Gala - Each year we host our Annual Loretto Gala.  This is our largest fundraising event designed to  bring support and awareness of our IBVM Sisters' mission in our world today.
  • Wills - A charitable bequest to the IBVM is an important means of income. An attorney can easily arrange this or you may call for more information.
Your Gift Has a Positive Impact:
  • To support IBVM ministries, especially as they relate to the needs of the powerless
  • Remembrance in the daily prayers of the Sisters and a monthly Eucharistic celebration
  • Knowledge that you are assisting in the care of the retired and infirm IBVM Sisters
  • Satisfaction in making education and spiritual growth opportunities available to all
  • Participation in the work of the Sisters with the poor and disadvantaged
  • Receipt of our newsletter, IBVM Connections, and a birthday remembrance
  • Your donation is tax deductible
